Welcome to the world of DesignByScaffy | My Freelance Web Initiative

Designbyscaffy is an online portfolio of the graphic designs and web-based solutions I have worked on in my freelance and after hours personal capacity.

I am sufficiently qualified to work on with both online and offline design, website building and conceptualization, current website updates and maintenance, blogs and online/digital marketing strategies and solutions.

I have proficient knowledge and hands on experience in WordPress and I enjoy working in this open source environment. I am able to build custom solutions for both websites and both private and corporate blogs and provide detailed training on how to manage the system afterwards :) I have also recently become involved in the Drupal developing environment.

Part of the online and digital marketing solutions I offer include both Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). I am able to assist with building individual strategies, provide for both basic and advanced SEO setup for both new and current sites as well as provide regular reporting.

Website maintenance contracts for the regular changes and updates on currently build websites (both new and established) is another service that I offer on all forms of website.

As Design By Scaffy, I am a highly innovative, creative, efficient web developer and SEO specialist. I love the challenge of keeping up with and conforming to the ever changing trends, and partake daily in the world of social media and social networking in South Africa.

I am also able to assist clients with regards to any kind of typing, data capturing and online research required. This can also be extended to include copy writing (content for sites etc) and the writing of articles for happenings and events that can be added to website and then aggregated to the various news and content sources.

More about Scaffy aka Megan

Horses are a very big part of my life outside of work and I love spending time horse riding, namely in the disciplines of showing, dressage and more recently eventing and hunting. I am ride a number of horses at the stables and I have been the proud owner of my own horse in the form of a three year old part bred cob filly by the name of Amber, who I am currently in the process of breaking in to saddle. I also love spending time with my boyfriend, scuba diving, blogging, and experiencing the best of the outdoors :)

About the person behind Design by Scaffy

My full name name is Megan Natalie Trow. I am 28 years old. I completed my BIS Multimedia degree at the University of Pretoria in 2003. I am a freelance SEO/SMO specialist and web developer.

I have experience in the retail industry, in-store marketing management and for the last four and a half years I have been working in the web and online marketing environment.

I have since become deeply involved in website marketing in the form of Google Analytics and Adwords, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in general and Social Media Platforms – Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.

I am also a part of the social networking scene with regular attendance at 27dinner's and Tweetups.

My current mantra: This is my time to shine!
